Markham Joy

Tuesday evening, the posse made its way to Joyride 150.  A 90,000 square foot indoor bike-park located in the north-Toronto suburb of Markham, Joyride offers tons of fun under one roof.  There are multiple pump tracks, all sorts of skinnies to test your nerve and lots of jumps, bowls, quarter-pipes, ledges and kickers to make you smile as you fly through the air.  You can rent bikes, chill out with friends and practice your bike-handling skills while it snows outside.  Almost makes it worthwhile to stick around for the winter.

Out on the trail, I’ve got things pretty dialed.  Upon entering Joyride, however, I was quickly reminded just how much I don’t know and how much I have to learn.  I rode the skinnies and the pump tracks okay but left the jumps to the big boys who, in reality, are about 20 years younger than I.  Below are a few pictures but, to get a true sense of the Joyride potential, check out this video featuring Drew Bezanson.

Thanks to Kt, Rick, Kris, Tim, Adam and Benvie for coming out and showing me around.  Joyride 150; a great place to spend the winter…

Welcome to Markham, welcome to Joyride.
