A physiological requirement, I’ve taken to wearing cycling caps whenever I’m on the bike. In the summer they keep my scalp from burning and keep the sweat out of my eyes. On cold days they keep my head warm.
None-too surprisingly, a collection has evolved, all starting with a black cotton Cinelli cap that dbt gave me several years ago. That Cinelli cap rides with me now.

I’ve also purchased a few new caps for the collection. The one pictured below, however, is definitely the most fun of them all. It’s also the most comfortable and best fitting cap I’ve ever worn. Check ’em out at
